Welcome to Atrium Health, a not-for-profit social enterprise delivering
essential rehabilitation services for the people of Coventry.
The company was established by frontline NHS clinical staff to provide people with tailored
programmes of exercise and education, with the aim of promoting a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
We are committed to improving the well-being of individuals and communities through our innovative
health programmes. Everyone in the organisation strives to provide the highest quality of
service in the pursuit of this goal.
Atrium Health Ltd has no shareholders. All funds generated by our work are reinvested
in our facilities and staff to improve the lives of those with long-term health conditions.
Atrium founder and Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Manager,
Pat Marson, was instrumental in what Atrium Health has achieved since its inception in 2007. With over 30 years nursing experience,
Pat, along with likeminded clinicians Gordon McGregor and Lucy Aphramor, had the vision to start a social enterprise as a means of attracting funding for the benefit of the Coventry community and to broach the health inequality divide in the city.
Pat’s tireless hard work has helped the cardiac rehab team acquire the premises at Watch Close. She led the way to open our doors to patients with other long term conditions such as lung disease, vascular disease, heart failure and cancer. Pat has always put patients at the heart of everything Atrium does and has steered the team through good times and bad, never faltering in her compassion or commitment to the programmes, patients or staff.
She retired from the NHS at the end of a very challenging 2020 but her spirit and vision of healthcare in the 21st century will live on through Atrium Health Ltd
