News

One of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law comes into effect on 25th May 2018.

The General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, is a really positive step towards you having more control over how your data is used and how you're contacted. The changes will also help to better protect your personal data. We are in the process of updating our privacy notice to reflect these changes.

As part of these changes, you may soon find organisations asking you how you would like to be contacted. As an Atrium Health gym member, you'll be asked to choose how you would like to be contacted by us to receive updates and member news. We will be in contact over the coming weeks to ask for your preferences.

We take your data privacy seriously, as we always have.

Sandra Price, a long-standing volunteer at Atrium Health, has been awarded an MBE for services to netball in Coventry. Sandra has volunteered more than 55 years to the sport, joining Copsewood as a player, aged 14. During her playing days, Sandra competed at local, county and regional level as well as being selected for a ‘Rest of the World’ team to play against England.

Last week Sandra and her family travelled down to London for the big day. Sandra who was very nervous then got to receive her honour from the queen's son Prince Charles.

Sandra has also enjoyed a glittering coaching and umpiring career, officiating at county level as well helping develop an army of umpires in her role as an England Netball Umpire Tutor and Assessor. She has been an active coach throughout the county, working with both junior and senior players, as well as dedicating more of her time as County Manager and an England Senior Team Manager.
